I'm Allan Bull, Principal of Hamilton East School.
Hamilton East School is an inner-city multi-ethnic school of 300 children involved in child centred education. As our mission statement says;
To inspire children to develop positive learning skills so every child can say, "I enjoy learning".
We want all our children to become independent learners who enjoy learning.
Our classroom programmes are set up to make sure the children get the best opportunities possible to become learners. Our target is to have focused learning to produce quality work.
We are extremely fortunate to have such a supportive community for our school. This community support comes in many forms - classroom help; help on school trips; fund raising and voluntary work especially in the computer and Information Technology areas.
Our school has many additional features such as our extra-curricular sports and cultural programme; our attractive grounds; and the commitment of the staff.
My interests include fishing; gardening; car collection and restoration especially in collecting old Minis and I'm always on the lookout for any collectable specimens. You don't have a Mini Cooper under the hedge do you?
I've been Principal of Hamilton
East School now for a number of years and I remain really motivated by seeing children grow and develop and become good kiwi citizens.
I have found my time extremely rewarding and look forward to many more years as Principal of Hamilton East School.
